Steven is a member of CoastEdge’s advisory team and helps connect clients to the full range of the firm’s capabilities by working directly with the firm’s managing partners. As an Advisory Associate, he serves as an internal liaison across the organization, helping coordinate resources, moving client priorities forward, and supporting a consistent and highly personalized client experience.
Day to day, Steven works closely with CoastEdge’s lead advisors and clients across portfolio management, financial planning, investment implementation, and other advisory needs. His role often involves coordinating across teams, organizing client priorities, preparing analysis, and helping ensure the firm’s investment, planning, and operational resources are brought together effectively for each client.
He joined CoastEdge after building more than five years of experience in wealth management at Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch. He began his career in Chicago with Morgan Stanley’s Trailhead Retirement Planning Group, a team overseeing approximately $4 billion in assets under management. There, he worked alongside eight financial advisors, developing personal wealth analyses, and supporting the team’s work with clients.
Steven later moved to San Diego and served as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch, where he further developed his experience in holistic financial planning, and personalized financial analysis. His interest in CoastEdge grew from the opportunity to work within a highly collaborative advisory model where investment management, planning, technology, and client service are brought together around complex client needs.
Steven earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business, with a concentration in Economics.
Outside of work, you can find Steven fishing, painting, hiking, or enjoying all activities San Diego has to offer with his friends.
