Prema Subramanian

Prema oversees the accounting functions of CoastEdge's RIA and fund businesses, including firm accounting, fund accounting, and the internal controls that help ensure financial data is accurate and audit ready.

As Controller, she leads accounting operations across CoastEdge's RIA and fund businesses, handling closing, billing, and fee reviews, and building out the standardized workflows and controls to support the firm as it grows.

She joined CoastEdge for the chance to work across both RIA and private fund accounting, a broader scope than she'd had before. The timing was right, and so was the chance to grow with the company.

Prema started her career in Big Four audit at Ernst & Young, then moved into corporate controllership and fund level accounting. Most recently, she led monthly close for 40+ properties across 200+ legal entities at a real estate private equity firm, keeping the books accurate and audit ready across multifamily, retail, and commercial assets.

Prema holds an MBA from North Central College and is a CMA and Chartered Accountant (India).

Outside work, you can find her in the garden or in the kitchen cooking up a good vegetarian meal, both part of keeping life and ledgers balanced.
