Garrett Heine

As an Associate Director on the Portfolio Advisory team at CoastEdge Partners, Garrett helps clients align their portfolios with their goals through asset allocation, investment selection, tax-aware implementation, and liquidity planning.

Garrett is a CFA charterholder with investment management experience spanning investment advisory, investment due diligence, and institutional consulting. This experience gives him a well-rounded perspective on portfolio construction and how investment, tax, and liquidity decisions work together to support each client’s goals.

Prior to joining CoastEdge, Garrett was an Associate Director at Informed Momentum Company, a boutique equity manager serving institutional clients. Before that, he was a Manager Research Analyst at Morningstar, where he evaluated fixed-income strategies and published investment research. He began his career at Meketa Investment Group, an investment consulting firm. Garrett earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The George Washington University.

Outside of work, Garrett enjoys spending time with his wife and son and is an avid skier and golfer. He captained George Washington’s NCAA Division I men’s soccer team and still enjoys playing soccer.
